It's sunny out there. Hopefully it will stay that way for at least a year hehehe.... Okay, let's talk about Saturday now. Woke up at 6am and the first thing I did after washing up was to call home and check the condition. My maid said the electricity was back and outside it was already dry so Sam and I decided to go back home.

We had breakfast in Grand Cafe. It was pretty good but for that price (Rp 130K/pax which was Rp 10K cheaper than lunch or dinner) I don't think it's worth it. I'd chosen the lunch buffet anytime coz it has a wider range of food. We went up to bath when we had finished up our breakfast. Then we packed up and checked out at 11am. We went to Sam's office first. Had lunch with Yuyu, Ci Hera, Ci A-Ing and Ci Licu in Tony Romas. I only managed to take a pic of the drink I ordered coz u know the rule when Sam's around :P

I ordered BBQ Shrimp. It's a new menu and it's quite tasty. A bit hot though.

Later on, we went to Plaza Senayan. As Sam promised, he got me a present from his soccer winning.

A Christian Dior mini messenger bag. Cute, isn't it? I wanted a purse at first but Sam said this is better. Well, it's his money so I just accept whatever come my way ^.^

Yesterday I didn't go to my dad's place even though I attended 8am sermon at the church. Sam's not having enough sleep so we decided to skip it this week. At 2pm we did go to C's Steak n Seafood in Grand Hyatt to have lunch though. I bought this book called "Best Restaurants in Jakarta" a couple of weeks ago and C's Steak is listed as one of them and the rating was 9. With such high rating it makes one wonder, right? Damn the food was expensive there. Sam ordered a plate of lamb chop which cost a little over Rp 400K. As for me, I ordered Fruit Punch and Tenderloin Steak

I ordered the steak to be cooked in medium rare and boy, it's just sooo juicy. It's so much better than the one in Angus House. The bill kinda burn a hole in Sam's wallet though hihihi.... He said, "Selera lu boleh juga. Tapi please, laen kali jangan liat dari buku."

As for today, Casey went with me to my dad's place in the morning right after we sent Cecil off to school. Casey is having a little fever and I'm thinking of bringing her to Dr Jani for a check-up. After all Chinese New Year is in a couple of days' time so I can't afford the kids to be sick.

My dad was about to leave home when we arrived. He gave me this box of chocolate from Penang.

It's a combination of 2 of my fav : dark chocolate & mint. When they are together, they certainly taste heavenly!

Went to Ketapang from there to Versa Tour. Chatted with Emmy and I just realized one thing, in spite of Sam's weird temper at times, he's so much better in some ways. I'll go into details about that tomorrow. Want to accompany Casey to watch "Alvin and The Chipmunks" on DVD now. Got it from my dad and Casey was so thrilled.

A Watch From Ria

I have this bad habit.....but I guess those who frequent my blog know that. I can hardly stick with a skin long enough for people to say, "Wow, I'm amazed.... it's been awhile since she changes skin." Yeap I tend to get bored easily with my skin. Considering that I have too much free time at my hand, that's not a crime either hehehe....

Yesterday I stayed home the whole day. Not whole day coz we did go to the church in the morning. Actually I can just call up the cab but I'm just too lazy to go out.

At around 3pm, Ria came over with Wito and her friend, Ivan. She gave me a belated birthday present ; a DKNY watch shown in the pic below worn by Casey.

Today, I went to TA for awhile coz Casey wanted to eat Bakso Afung. Then came home and spent my time on YM chatting with the girls. I also asked Wiwin a lot about photography stuffs. Now my head is really messed up. So many things but u know when u get old, it tends to get harder to remember everything u hear. Unless of course it's something juicy hehehe....

Talking about memory hmmmm.... after sending the kids to school, I came home to sleep again. I slept at past 2am this morning so it was really hard for me to stay awake having only 4 hours of sleep. Sam came home at around 8am and was pissed off coz he thought I forgot to buy the door handle like he told me to. Half asleep, I asked him when did he tell me to buy. Then he said, "Lu selalu gitu....sekalinya barang lu aja selalu ingetin terus. Gua cuman pesen beli 1 hal doang bisa ga inget." He was really mad. I can hear from his tone and I didn't go to sleep after that coz my mood totally changed. I kept thinking hard when he asked me to buy but no matter how hard I tried to recall, I just couldn't remember. I know I am poor with my memory but just now it came to a point where I was really depressed at how bad my memory is. Then I asked my driver. U know what? Turned out Sam only told the driver and he didn't instruct me to buy. The nerve of him!!! And when I sms him just now, he only replied, "Hihihi...gitu ya. Sori, gua lupa gua cuman pesen ma si Agus bukan ma lu." Aaargh..... It's okay though. It's not like he was mad at me the whole morning. Last time when he got mad, he can stay mad the whole day but these days, he's in much better control of his temper. I really should learn from him.

Anyway, I got my monthly allowance today. Yipee.... So I don't have to wait till Wednesday to get my digicam. I'm going tomorrow. There was a funny incident when Michael called me up just now to tell me that I will only get the underwater housing in 2 weeks' time. It's really embarrassing so I think I'll skip that part of the conversation. I only told it to Yon and she was laughing her ass off everytime she remembered about it so I should save myself from further embarrassment.

SpendinG The AfternooN with Old FrienDs

I almost died of boredom today. Even though I was having conference chat with the ladies, still I really need something to make me forget about the camera. My hands already itched to get hold of the new cam but that had to wait till Wednesday.

Luckily at 2.15pm, Fenny sms me and told me that Mony was going to her house and asked me if I want to come. Quickly said 'yes' coz I've been dying to see her younger daughter, Kelly. Let me tell u, Kelly is such a darling. She's soooo adorable. You can't possibly not fall in love with her. These are her pics:

Hello Kitty phone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've put it in the kids' bedroom and it's just so, so pretty.

It was a really enjoyable day today. We went to Panecook again at 4pm and spent almost 2 hours there. The service today was really bad =.= After that, we went to Fenny's house again to continue talking. I left there at around 7.20pm. Wish we can do this more often. Really miss hanging out with old friends.

Tomorrow, I'm meeting some new friends... Never meet them before but first got to know Cn from Mona's blog and that's where I got to know Therry and Syl. Am so excited about it!

Since Suli & Yon keep talking about books in their blogs, I think it's time I start reading again. I love to read...just that I put that hobby aside since I got my NDS. Now, I am back to my old past time.

Fenny's birthday is next week and now it makes me spin just thinking of what to get for her =.=

Anyway, the reason why I had to stay home today is because Sam bought a new ac for our room and the people were here earlier to install it. So we had 2 ac in our room now. How wasting is that?? My FIL already had 2 in his room and just last week I was thinking to myself how silly that was and now Sam did the same thing =.=

BTW, we found out yesterday that there's going to be Disney on Ice Show right here in Jakarta in April. It's not in the papers yet so if u guys already hear where I can buy the tickets, do tell me.

The New 'En' LooK

Kinda annoyed coz yesterday we didn't watch movie as planned. The sermon at the church took longer than usual yesterday coz there was an adoration sacrament carried out. We got out of the church at 12.10pm and reached home 20 mins later. By the time we reached EX, it was already 1pm and we haven't had lunch yet so kids said they will just wait for the DVD to come out.

Had lunch in En Restaurant. At first, we were confused coz the En we used to go has been replaced by Pho 2000 Restaurant. Then realized that it has moved to just opposite F Bar. It looks so much nicer now plus they have TV everywhere!

The Wakame Salad is my favorite. I really love Japanese salad dressing. As for Buta Tumire Nabe, the minced meat ball is so, so, so soft. It has such a texture that it melts in your mouth. No kidding! I don't really enjoy the kim chi soup though. But overall, it's okay thanks to the meat balls.

Then Sam took the kids to buy shoes since Casey complained about her shoelaces keep getting on the way. Later on, I went to look for a purse. It was me who planned to buy actually and I didn't intend to ask Sam to pay for it since he already bought me so many stuffs. It's crazy though that the price of the purse itself costs only a little cheaper than the handbag my MIL gave me last year. Still, my Burberry purse looks kinda worn out already so I bought it anyway. They do have some on sale but I don't like the design. I'm surprised that Sam offered to pay half of it ^.^ And he said if he wins his soccer bets, he'll pay all of it! Thankfully I paid it with my credit card so I still have 3 more weeks to see if he wins other bets hahaha.... If he does, then I really hit the jackpot. Well, not jackpot but still, paying half compared to not at all is quite a big difference so let's all cross your fingers and pray that he wins :P

On our way back to EX, kids asked for cupcakes so we bought another 4. This time I only got 3 pics coz one of the cupcakes is oreo which I've posted before.

Before going home, we stayed awhile in Gloria Jeans to have coffee first.

2 nights ago, the girls n I watched "Sydney White" on DVD starring Amanda Bynes.

It's a chick flick and I think it's pretty entertaining although it's not my favorite. I like Amanda Bynes even if her acting isn't really that good. She just looks so sweet. The leading actor, Matt Long, is like the younger version of Brad Pitt except he's lack of that sex appeal though hehehe...

As for tomorrow, don't wait up for my blog in the morning. I will probably be in Ertien's salon cutting my hair. Yup, very soon, I will go for smoothing again and then color my hair too. I really want to cut my hair short but after so many hair disasters, I think I'll stay with long for awhile first.

ReunioN

I'm tired but feeling very happy. The lunch was pretty successful considering that there were 15 people who came. Old and new friends gather together. At first I was quite worried that since Gina and Suli didn't know some of the old ICers it might be a little awkward for them but luckily they blend in just well. It was great....filled with loads and loads of laughters (well, knowing Cin, Charles and Dodi were there, no doubt there'll be plenty of jokes to go around) and it was really fun. Thanks to all those who came ^.^

As my driver didn't come, we had to go home by cab. I went back with Irene to Puri Mall. I was supposed to get the cake at noon to bring to TA but Suli was caught in traffic and was late so I decided I'll save the cake to eat at home. It's a peppermint chocolate chip from Baskin Robbins and it's my fav. This is the cake:

Is it just me or did u guys notice? Wiwin can never look bad on the cam! NEVER! It's like her face is made for the cam. See that last pic there, she looks so sweet even from the side. And Irene took a pic of Wiwin when she's making funny faces. Even when she did that she looks adorable. Maybe should try to catch her when she's sleeping.

Now I just need to get some rest. I'm having those symptoms... that I'm catching a sore throat soon. I don't want to get sick....least of all sore throat. It will be days of suffering for me if that happens.

Meeting Cin's Mom

Arrived in Pacific Place at 8.55am. It was then I realized that I was an hour early. Kidzania operates at 10am during public holidays. Still, I had to register first and the queue was already long. Sent the kids up to Kidzania and since Blitz Megaplex is still close, I went down looking for a place where I can sit down for a cup of coffee. Finally, decide to have breakfast in Pure Restaurant. They serve only organic food. I ordered Croissant Sandwich with Scrambled Egg.

It tastes like any normal croissant sandwich except that they really should change their chilli sauce coz it tastes so bland. I have to eat the croissant with my coffee in order to make it acceptable for my tummy to take in.

I guess what I actually did today is called 'restaurant hopping' LOL The next place I sat wasn't in a restaurant but close enough. It's the cafe of Blitz Megaplex. I ordered french fries and hot lemon tea. Sat there for hours till it was time to meet up Wiwin and Cin. Service sux there. Took them 15 mins to get my bill and it wasn't even that crowded.

We decided to eat in Crystal Jade and we were on waiting list. Luckily, we didn't have to wait that long. I like seeing Cin n his mom together. They are so affectionate. And Cin's mom..... hmmm how should I put it? When I look at her, it was like seeing my mom. The way she talks and the way she thinks.... I can't help noticing the resemblance there. And Cin's mom is such a warm person. I don't find any difficulty in communicating with her at all. Wiwin is one lucky girl. She has a really great future MIL there ;) I asked Cin to take a pic of us before we separated.

She looks really down-to-earth, don't u think? It was my pleasure meeting her ^.^ And Wiwin.... how come everytime I see her she gets prettier and prettier. It's just not fair!!! Hihihi.... Wiwin, remember her advice? *wink* *wink* Hihihihi....

Waited for the kids outside Y&Y Restaurant. We then dropped Damien in Plaza Indonesia. But first, we sat down in Excelso Cafe. Kids ordered the usual while I tried the new appetizer. I didn't remember the English name of it but it's called Tape Goreng in Indonesian. I love it but since no one helps me and I'm forced to eat the whole plate by myself, it gets kinda revolting hehehe...

Reached home at 5pm. Wiwin gave me this birthday present from Marks & Spencer.

My favorite smell in the whole wide world : Lavender!!! How did she know it's my fav? I must have voiced it out aloud in my blog last time. Thanks so much, Win.... Love it, love it, love it

About the Bak Kut Teh, well, it was a complete success!

I know the pic doesn't look appealing but it is delicious! Thanks to that Bak Kut Teh spice we bought in Carnation Kopi Tiam back in Penang. Of course out of the 3 times I made, this is the one closest to the original one. Probably it's because I've seen what they actually put in the soup and put it into practice. So, it doesn't mean as long as u got the spice, it's a no-fail kinda cooking.

Phew....finally I got the new skin up. Getting kinda rusty with the editing. Have to ask from the pro now *lirik Yon* Anyway, about my good news, 2 nights ago Sam asked me, "Jadi lu mau yang seperti gua punya?" I said it's up to him. I wasn't even thinking he was serious with his offer. After all, he just bought me one for my birthday. Last night before he came back he asked again, "Anak2 uda mau tidur?" And I said 'no' and he said he'll go and get me the watch first. I was still thinking it was a joke.

When he came home with the bag from The Time Place, I knew he was serious. Then he told me to open it and this was what he gave me :

It's my 1st watch that has diamonds *norak abis* hehehe.... It looks almost like Sam's except that his is plain while mine has the brand embossed all over inside. Looks better like this coz it's cooler and I really lurveee it. Kids asked Sam what's the present for and Sam said it's a year-end present. Looking forward to every year end then LOL

PresenTs From The Kids

Well, the BBQ yesterday was pretty fun except that Ayau and his family couldn't make it. Just Cin2 and his family with Hui's niece and nephew tagging along. 6 children in the house made the atmosphere lively. Valentine was exceptionally cute and loves to sing a lot. After the BBQ, we just stayed at home watching DVDs with the kids. First we watched "Mr Magorium's Wonder Emporium" starring Dustin Hoffman and Natalie Portman.

It's about this girl Molly Mahoney (Natalie Portman) who works in a magic toy store. Well, I don't really dig the movie. Kinda boring in my opinion. Natalie doesn't look her age though in there and it's not one of her best acting I must say.

Then at night we continued watching "Nancy Drew".

It's an okay movie although the actings weren't really up to Hollywood standards.

Today, met up with Suli in Plaza Senayan for nail art. I wanted to do manicure and painting my toenails actually but in the end I just had the painting. Suli did manicure and nail art and this is how her nails look like:

She has really dainty fingers that Ami who was doing her nails took longer than usual. As for me, my toenails look like this now:

After that, we had lunch in Chatterbox. Once again, I made the wrong choice and the food taste horrible but I ate it anyway coz I was damn hungry =.=

Suli drove us to Pacific Place but I got down in the lobby as I had to line up for the tickets to Kidzania. I planned to let the girls play on Friday. Turned out tickets were all sold out. Only available one is the afternoon slot and it's impossible to go for the 2nd session like I explained before. In the end, bought the tickets for next Wednesday as that's the day that the kids don't have tuition. Casey's piano lesson starts again next week. Took me more than half an hour to line up for the tickets. Business is so booming but wonder how long will that last? When I had bought the tickets, went up to 5th floor to meet up with Suli and the girls. Forgot the name of the restaurant...Coffee something I recalled. I ordered a glass of iced latte and it doesn't even taste as good as the one Starbucks has....but then again, it's not as expensive either hehehe....

At 4pm, we parted ways coz Suli was going to watch "I Am Legend" whereas we had to go back home. As soon as we arrived, kids told me to open belated bday presents from them. Was surprised coz while I was doing my nails, they went to Kidz Station to buy me stuffs. How sweet ^.^ These were what I got:
