One of My LowesT MomenT

Today I felt like I'm really being tested. I have to swallow my pride and do something I have promised myself that I will never do so u can say I'm at my wits' end having to change my mind. To tell the truth, it's really embarrassing for me but hopefully by end of the month or early next month everything will be back to normal again. Phew...it's been one hell of a day. And today I realized that I had been such a fool. Have u ever helped out people when they were down but then all your kindness seemed to be forgotten just like that? It's not like I expect them to say, "Oh Ivy, u are my saviour, u are my God... I worship the ground u walk." Oh well, it's hard to go into details and I don't think I want to anyway. I want to just wake up tomorrow and hope things will be so much better than today. Thanks again Yon for being the place to let out all my anger. I owe it to your advice in taking a huge step today.... to let go and never to look back at all... and I mean never. Damn the person who ruin the day for me today.

Oh well, back to happier subject. I'm stuck home today. Well, that's not a happy subject actually hehehe.... but I did get a great news from my FIL. He's giving me a sum of money for my hong bao ^.^ And I'm not talking about the same amount as I get for my monthly pocket money (which to me is already a huge sum). This is so much more. He gave me a sum of money to put into time deposit last time and this time, he actually gave me more than twice of what I got end of last year. It's really crazy I tell u. I can't believe how lucky I am to have a FIL like that. One setback is that the time deposit will be kept by Sam so I won't actually feel like I own it but I will get extra pocket money in my bank every month in addition to the one my FIL gave me. Even if I ever get that position as a manager, I will never earn this much! Hahaha... So this is really a GREAT news. Itung2 ga pa2 deh.... rugi dikit untuk mendapat hasil yg lebih banyak, bener ga, bener ga? hihihi....

Yesterday, I brought Casey to Dr Jani for a check-up. Went to Criollo first to get the Chinese New Year package I ordered for him. Normally I bought a fruit parcel for Dr Jani during X'mas but since he was away last X'mas, I thought might as well give him one during the CNY. This is how the package looks like :

I ordered another cake for the kids and me coz if u guys have a bite of it, u will agree with me that it's just simply the best. The chocolate cake isn't too sweet. It's soft and moist yet if u just have a tiny weeny bite, u find yourself in my shoes and can't stop eating it. Today, we are left with half of it so screw the diet for the time being. It's 'food-galore-for-me' week!

The pic above is my cooking : Stir Fried Black Pepper Beef. Don't look at me in awe first. I owe it to the ready stock black pepper sauce sold widely in supermarket. I just love cooking when it's that practical. Who wouldn't? Well, probably I'm speaking for myself coz the friends I know who enjoy cooking or baking (yes u ladies, Livy, Amy, Gina & Suli), they love doing everything from scratch. So opposite of me Anyway, this sauce is delicious and I only need to add onions and green bellpeppers. So easy, right? Cecil loves this one a lot.

And this morning, I have already prepared all the hong baos since Chinese New Year is just 2 days' away.

Sam's been pretty generous this year so I don't have to fork out to give to my nephews and nieces hehehe....

The morning and noon I spent mostly in BCA. Damn the bank was so crowded today. Even if u are there just to print your account book. It was really so frustrating. That's why I said today my patience was being tested to the limit =.=

Fenny came over at 2pm to give the kids something for the Chinese New Year : CNY Cupcakes! Hihihi....

Haven't tasted them yet coz I was busy eating the choco hazelnut cake. Can u believe it I only eat instant noodle today??.... and only once.

Tom Yam instant noodles..... my favorite flavor of all ^.^ Okay, gotta go down to cook dinner now. Expect a change of skin in a couple of days (or even tonight) coz I'm getting sick of this one.

Sam's out to MU Cafe to watch soccer with his best friend so that leaves me free to blog but I'm just gonna update about Friday.

Yesterday I would say it's when one of my worst nightmares turned into reality. I never felt so worried, scared and helpless all at the same time. I guess if u have kids u have to fetch but it seemed almost impossible to do so, that will make anyone feel that way.

The morning I sent the kids off to school, I thought it was just a normal rainy day. I still went to PIK to pass something to Yon's friend who was supposed to go to Medan tomorrow. On my way home, even though it was still raining pretty heavily I went ahead to Muara Karang market to have my favorite breakfast.... Bihun Goreng Medan. Nothing beats eating hot Bihun Goreng Medan in a cold weather. It was already quite flooded there. I had to sacrifice my Guess flip flop coz the water level already cover the top of my foot (not leg). Well, I try to rationalize then. I thought, "Oh well, Muara Karang had been so accustomed to flood...I guess this is still normal." On my way home, I passed by Universitas Untar. That was when I started to worry. The water covered half of a tyre of a sedan. My driver tried to ease my troubled mind saying that it's a common sight in Untar during rainy season. So there I was again, thinking it's probably nothing. Everywhere the traffic was bad but my driver said there's an alternative route to Bina Bangsa so I didn't leave home till Sam called me up at 12pm. That was when my maid said, "Non, ga bisa keluar. Banjirnya uda kaya taon lalu. Di luar uda sedengkul dalemnya." I thought she must be kidding. I mean, geez....how can that possibly be. I looked out from my FIL's room and true enough, the sight shocked me. My maid said the water even went inside Alphard. My driver didn't dare to go thru it and all I can think of were my 2 poor kids. Called Sam up and asked him what I should do. Thank goodness Sam decided not to use his Harrier to work yesterday so he told us to use that to fetch the kids. My driver was reluctant at first but Sam said there's no other choice. We had to risk it. He told me to pack some clothes for the kids and me in case we couldn't make it back home. Took a couple of pajamas, 2-3 tops and hurriedly told the maid to put the luggage into the car and off we went.

It was really, really a moment full of suspense when the car tried to go thru the flood. I guess u can say it covered the whole tyre already and I was praying hard we could make it. I didn't care how....I just need to be with the kids at that moment. When the car finally managed to get out of Intercon, I was so much more relieved. It was then I worried if I could get to school in time. The roads were all jammed so bad. Took me almost 3 hours from the normal 30 mins trip. I was going crazy thinking about what if the kids get hungry and stuffs like that. Sam didn't make it any better coz he called me up every 15 mins or so asking if I had arrived or not. Luckily I had Casey's teacher's cellphone no so I asked her to lend Casey some money for her to take lunch in school. I reached Bina Bangsa at 2.45pm. Couldn't begin to describe how overjoyed I was seeing the 2 kids again.

Sam said he had booked a room in Grand Hyatt and told us to go straight there from school. The journey was pretty smooth and we reached Hyatt at about 3.15pm. Checked in and got us Room 820. It was our first time staying there. This was how the room looks like:

Kids were happy. Seemed like it was holiday to them. What's good about staying there was the fact that we could easily get the stuffs we forgot to bring at Plaza Indonesia. I was famished so I told the kids that I wanted to eat. We ate in Mi Item. Been wanting to try the food there for quite sometime now.

I forgot the exact name of it but it was recommended by the waiter and it was indeed delicious. U guys who haven't tried, should try it sometime. The noodle is made from squid's ink and meat so it's really yummy at the very first bite. They even have Mi Item Pink.... Yes, pink noodles but I'm not interested to try it coz it's made from beetroot. That is one of the blacklisted food in my list along with honey.

It was really cold in there so I had to get a jacket. Went to Esprit to get one. And since the kids were wearing school shoes, we went to Nike to get ourselves decent sandals each. Also bought 2 new flavour from Cupcakes : Banana & Strawberry.

Dropped the stuffs back in the room and went back to Plaza Indonesia again to the Food Hall. On our way, we saw Delon, the winner of the 1st Indonesian Idol. He looked so heavily make up and that really left a worse impression that he already had. I really don't dig him. When he was up against Joy Tobing back then, I really think he was nothing compared to Joy. Still, these days u can get away with anything as long as u have the looks. I don't think he's that handsome as everyone said he is too. Look at him yesterday! Eew... even Casey said he looked weird. Hahaha.... Apparently his place was flooded too or else he wouldn't have been there.

Got the toothbrushes and toothpaste from the supermarket and we went to Red Pepper (the food court) to have dinner. By the time we went back to the hotel it was almost 8pm. Our first time going out that late hahaha... Sam arrived at almost 9pm but he went next door for dinner. I was really out by 10pm.

Well, time to hit the bed. It's raining again, guys.... Hopefully, it won't last long. Beneran trauma kali ini.

Wow, look at the time! It's almost 7pm already and I finally find the time to update my blog (talking like a very busy career woman :P) I came back to sleep again after dropping the kids to school this morning. I feel like I'm turning into a bear who loves to hibernate in the winter. I woke up at around 10am and found Sam was in a happy mood. I didn't expect that coz I had to wake him up at 5.30am this morning as there was a call for him from Semarang and he was pretty pissed off with that that guy whoever he was. I already feared for the worst. He tends to get really grumpy when he had to wake up in the middle of his sleep. Found out that he won soccer bet again and this Sunday I will be getting something for myself from him. Ria asked if it was Valentine's present but Sam's not romantic so I doubt it is but since Val's Day is approaching, I'll just make myself happy and assume that it is ^.^

At 12pm I left home and went to Gina's shop to collect the cupcakes I ordered from her for Fenny's birthday. She made the decorations as per my request : in baby blue n pink. Simple yet sweet looking.

Then went to BBS to fetch Casey. Like normal Thursday, we went to TA straight from there. Just before Casey's skating lesson, we had lunch in Nan Xiang Restaurant. Not putting up any pics since I ordered the food before except this time I also ordered Drunken Chicken. I'm not even sure why it has the name "Drunken" coz I can't taste any alcohol in the chicken =.=

When Casey was skating, I went down to Gramedia to look for some books. We went home after Casey was done coz I have to wait for the piano at home. Yup, the guys were going to send over the piano today. It wasn't till 4.30pm that it arrived. Casey was really pleased.

Yes, finally she can practice what she learnt from Wisma Relasi. In the late noon, we went to Taman Permata Buana Sports Club to give Fenny her bday present and the cuppies. Her older son, Kenneth, was having swimming lesson there so we chatted while waiting for Kenneth to finish up.

I know these tops weren't exactly the kind of clothes that I would wear but I really like them and they fit snuggly on me. Casey helped me choose a couple but out of the many that she pointed out, I only chose 1 (3rd one). She really has weird taste when it comes to clothes.... just like her dad hahaha....

The New 'En' LooK

Kinda annoyed coz yesterday we didn't watch movie as planned. The sermon at the church took longer than usual yesterday coz there was an adoration sacrament carried out. We got out of the church at 12.10pm and reached home 20 mins later. By the time we reached EX, it was already 1pm and we haven't had lunch yet so kids said they will just wait for the DVD to come out.

Had lunch in En Restaurant. At first, we were confused coz the En we used to go has been replaced by Pho 2000 Restaurant. Then realized that it has moved to just opposite F Bar. It looks so much nicer now plus they have TV everywhere!

The Wakame Salad is my favorite. I really love Japanese salad dressing. As for Buta Tumire Nabe, the minced meat ball is so, so, so soft. It has such a texture that it melts in your mouth. No kidding! I don't really enjoy the kim chi soup though. But overall, it's okay thanks to the meat balls.

Then Sam took the kids to buy shoes since Casey complained about her shoelaces keep getting on the way. Later on, I went to look for a purse. It was me who planned to buy actually and I didn't intend to ask Sam to pay for it since he already bought me so many stuffs. It's crazy though that the price of the purse itself costs only a little cheaper than the handbag my MIL gave me last year. Still, my Burberry purse looks kinda worn out already so I bought it anyway. They do have some on sale but I don't like the design. I'm surprised that Sam offered to pay half of it ^.^ And he said if he wins his soccer bets, he'll pay all of it! Thankfully I paid it with my credit card so I still have 3 more weeks to see if he wins other bets hahaha.... If he does, then I really hit the jackpot. Well, not jackpot but still, paying half compared to not at all is quite a big difference so let's all cross your fingers and pray that he wins :P

On our way back to EX, kids asked for cupcakes so we bought another 4. This time I only got 3 pics coz one of the cupcakes is oreo which I've posted before.

Before going home, we stayed awhile in Gloria Jeans to have coffee first.

2 nights ago, the girls n I watched "Sydney White" on DVD starring Amanda Bynes.

It's a chick flick and I think it's pretty entertaining although it's not my favorite. I like Amanda Bynes even if her acting isn't really that good. She just looks so sweet. The leading actor, Matt Long, is like the younger version of Brad Pitt except he's lack of that sex appeal though hehehe...

As for tomorrow, don't wait up for my blog in the morning. I will probably be in Ertien's salon cutting my hair. Yup, very soon, I will go for smoothing again and then color my hair too. I really want to cut my hair short but after so many hair disasters, I think I'll stay with long for awhile first.

H: Gpp... gak masuk lagi, ci? Uda sepi benar sekarang.
Me: Lah, kalo sepi napa suruh cc masuk lagi?
H: He..he... Ya ikut ramein lagi dong.
Me: Terlalu lama hiatus... jadi males masuk ke sananya. Lagian emang ada yg seru?
H: Belom ada sich. Masih sepi. Paling beberapa orang doang yang aktif.
Me: Ooo... Ya biar aja beberapa orang itu yg ramein.

I had almost the same conversation with others a couple of days ago. Well, I found out about IC being up again from Wiwin. She asked me if I still go to that site. I asked her if it's already up and running and she said 'yes'. Well, I did try to open the site but this PC, that I'm mostly using now, just won't open that page. It seems like it can read my mind LOL... Not that it bothers me. I feel that my life is so much more quieter now that I no longer go to that site. I don't have to worry about writing blogs which upset people anymore or blogging about stuffs I bought without having others to criticize with the way I'm spending my money. After all, one blogs for one's pleasure, right and not to please others. Anyway, thru IC I met some of the wonderful friends I have now but that's that. It doesn't bother me a bit if I never have to enter that forum anymore. It's not like the end of the world for me. Hello, I have other priorities even though I'm just a housewife. After all I still keep in touch with the good friends in IC thru sms or YM and it's all that matters.

I have a good news to share which in turn, a good news for Yon too hihihi... I'll be going to Bali during this Easter break! Yipee.... Bali here I come again! Made plans to meet up with Yon and NoniQ there but I haven't told NoniQ about the good news yet. Geez, I really miss her. I miss Bali so much too.... the Waterbom, Bubba Gump.... aaaarghhh.... it's my 2nd choice next to Gold Coast. But I better not rant anymore or else Ria will start calling me a show off. Still, no matter how show off I am I can't beat one particular friend of hers who only been to Bali once but talked as if she's living her whole life there LMAO... People....pffftt..... they come in many kinds *shaking head*

Yesterday even though I'm not feeling that well, I still went to Puri Mall to collect Cecil's glasses and since I haven't had my lunch, took the girls to eat in Ajisen Ramen. I know, I said I will not step into that place for a long, long time but Cecil wanted to eat in there. As for me, I'm in no mood to eat but hungry enough to consume any food.

This morning, I went to Menara Peninsula for a massage. I forgot to take down the woman's name but I will never have her massaged again....ever! I didn't enjoy it one bit.

Came home and checked 2Baksa and found out that The Exchange Student Episode 2 has been released. Was so happy and download it instantly. Intended to leave the house earlier but just couldn't get enough of that game. Finally, I had to tear myself away from the game at 11.45am. Went to EX. First, went to Old Chang Kee to buy the fishballs and curry puffs. Passed by this Cupcakes counter mentioned by CN. They are really pretty that I bought 4 back. Yes, only 4 coz it's quite expensive =.=

I've only tried the orange one and it's yummy. The butter cream isn't too creamy. Just nice to my liking. Still, it's a bit expensive =.= Rp 16K for 1. I think I stated the price wrongly to Suli just now... Can't remember, hehehe....

I finally helped Wowo to get the "gerobak ayam goreng". It's soooo adorable! I want to buy one for myself next time. After I save enough for SLR cam first.

They even have light for it! How cute is that?? Fetched Casey a bit late and sent her to Wisma Relasi for her piano lesson. On our way back, dropped by Ranch Market to buy groceries. Was surprised to bump into Gina there.

Okay, I'm going down to cook and rest. My sore throat is getting better. Now I'm down with the cold. I'm a very lucky bitch.

Kids are back to school and I'm somehow a bit relieved. But that also means more time at home now which kinda sux. Not that I'm fit to go anywhere at the moment. Yeah, I'm officially sick right now. I finally got the sore throat except it's not so bad this time round. Just need to take CDR and eat medicine a couple more times and I'll be up and running by tomorrow *cross my fingers* Sometimes, when people asked me how old my kids are, I myself find it hard to believe. Not that I think I don't look that age. Mind u, I'm not that self-confident hehehe... Just that I can't believe how times fly. Just a couple of nights ago I took a pic of Casey in a party dress :

And when I looked at the pic, it was still hard to swallow the fact that she's a big girl now. Well, almost 7 is a big girl to me. And she looks more mature than her age in the pic, don't u think? I'm really content with my life now. There's nothing else I want.

I just found out yesterday that it was Valentine's birthday. What a bad auntie I am! Will get her birthday present within this week though. Yesterday, we went to church at 9.45am coz there are 3 masses in the morning now. 1st at 6am, 2nd at 8am and 3rd at 10.30am. Kids couldn't possibly make it to 8am (even when it was at 9am it took me like forever to make them eat breakfast and get ready) so we took the 3rd session. We finally got to sit inside and feel what MKK is like with the air-conditioner. It was nice coz yesterday weather was bloody hot. I took a pic of the place :

Just found out from Wiwin's blog that that's the church she went to on Saturday. Yeah, it's a really tough church to find. When I got married last time, my friends had trouble finding it too and most of them arrived only when the ceremony was over LOL

Went to dad's house as usual and we did go out to Chandra to find some DVDs with my dad. Just him, Casey and me though. Cecil was too lazy to go out.

Came home and watched "Daddy Day Camp" with Sam and the kids. It was a sequel to "Daddy Day Care". It was hilarious but the 1st one where the leading actor was Eddie Murphy was so much better.

In the evening, Suli and Gina came over to drop some cupcakes they made. They are sooo pretty.

I took one cupcake and my sore throat got worse LOL but I just can't resist the temptation. It's moist and so yummy!

That night, we had dinner in Coca Suki. I didn't eat much coz all I can think of is the bed. And when I did get to bed which was at 9pm, I didn't wake up until 5.30am this morning. Was still sleepy but when I got home from school which was at 7am, I slept for another 2 hrs 30 mins hihihi... Now I'm really refreshed although I'm still having this irritating sore throat.
