Sweet SaLe TaG

Slightly more than a week ago, I asked my personal & talented designer, Wiwin, to help me design a tag for Sweet Sale so I can print it out and stick to the stuffs people bought from us. Wanted to have it professionally printed but figured that it's more costly if I do that so I printed my own stickers since the printer's ink is complimentary from Sam's office. I can just get them for free hehehe.... This is how the tag looks like:

Photobucket

I just feel that no matter what people buy from us, regardless the amount and the quantity, it's just proper to show them back how much we appreciate their gestures in helping us to raise money for the donation. It may not mean much, but it's a sign of appreciation to let them know what they did brought us a step closer to reach our target. And what is our target? I'm not really sure hahaha... I was thinking that we find an orphanage or something when we reach our first Rp 5 mill.... Not sure yet though. Still have to discuss with Ria and the others since Ria will be in charge of surveying the place like she normally did when she was put in charge in IC. I hope this time I will be able to go too.

Today, me, the kids & my FIL went to Tony Romas to have lunch again. Frankly, I'm getting a little frustrated at the choices I'm faced with eating out with my FIL. I mean, it's so predictable! Either Tony Romas or Pepper Lunch. If this goes on for another month, I will swear off those 2 places for sure. For today, I order the mix combo again but this time I didn't order the grilled shrimps. Ordered fried ones instead.

Photobucket

Looks huge but it's just the right amount for me. The prices are crazy now. Back in 1994 when I first had a taste of Tony Romas (when I was still working), a half slab baby back ribs would cost Rp 40K. Today, it's a whooping Rp 130K. For my combo, it's Rp 190K. Will be more expensive if I choose a different kind of ribs instead of baby back. I don't know... I don't get that kind of thrills going to Tony Romas now.

We went to Bukit Golf after that to visit my FIL's niece who has just given birth. It's a pretty nice area and was surprised that the price of one house is only half of my FIL's house in Park View (Kelapa Gading). My FIL's house is only slightly bigger.

Time to sleep.... Will be going to EX to watch Indiana Jones tomorrow. Sam's already bought the tickets just now.

Waiting For HancocK

I just realized Will Smith will have a new movie coming out in July... just a couple of days before kids are back to school (hopefully). This trailer is freaking awesome!!

And Kungfu Panda is also coming out soon I heard. So many new movies to look forward to. BTW, this afternoon just before I went to Puri Mall, Fenny & Mony came over to bring the thank you gifts. Can u believe Mony actually gives a Monopoly set for each of the kids so they got 2 sets. If I don't remember wrongly, I bought one a couple of years ago for the kids and it cost around Rp 200K....and she actually present each child with one of this.... just imagine her spending the money freaked me out. Yeah I'm a pretty cheapskate when it comes to stuffs like that....

Went to Puri Mall and bought tickets for Nim's Island.

Photobucket

It's an okay movie but kids love it since it's filled with adventure. Reached home at 7.30pm.

Sam forgot to leave his Standard Chartered Platinum card with me. So I can only cross my fingers and hope that we won't run out of Indiana Jones tickets on Sunday. He's in Purwokerto as of this morning and will only return tomorrow noon. On Monday he will leave for Menado again for a week. This will be the 1st time we are apart for that long. The factory he built in Menado will be ready soon for your info. He's really excited about it. I just pray that his business will bring result very soon. Sam said by next year everything will be so much easier.

Counting down the days till I see my best friend, Amy, in Singapore. I miss her so damn much. I miss Singapore food too. It's funny how I used to think the food tasted awful all the time I was studying there and now I'm actually missing it.

Before the clock strikes 12, wishing Yon a Happy Birthday again. Knowing you has been a blessing ^.^

Olivia's Kitchen

I've only stop writing for hardly a week yet and already so many people are wondering why I haven't blogged. Hehehe... This is going to be really short by the way. Not something you expect to read after being absent for days. Next week though, I'll blog as normal again. I feel so loved being missed by so many people. Hehehe....

Anyway, this past week was exams' week so nothing much to tell you. On Wednesday, I went to Suli's office and got the cupcakes I ordered from her.

Photobucket

There are 2 boxes actually and the other one was decorated in purgu so I don't want to post it here. Looks almost the same as this box though except one is with blueberry fillings and the other one is chocolate. Banana cupcakes...yum2 ^.^

On the same day, I changed my N82 to.... N82 again hahahaha.... This time it's black in color. I haven't taken any pic of it so in case you are curious, just google it.

That's about it. One of my new maids will be out tomorrow due to too much stress from my FIL's ranting I guess. Damn.... I wish the old ones come back. Life is so much easier with them around. Well, at least my ears feel safer then hahaha....

One funny news I got from Irene is that a couple of days ago, my 'best friend' viewed her in FS. Susah emang kalo jadi seleb ya si Irene.... uda ga aktif pun masih suka dicari2 beritanya huahahaha....

By the way, the other day as I was browsing one of the sites on celebrities, came upon this trailer and kids n I are looking forward to watch it this September.

Beverly Hills Chihuahua.... Jot it down on your calendar, guys!!!

And one last thing before I go, you friends who have friends residing in States (this applies to my 'best friend' too), a new bakery has opened. Her cookies are awesome... and her stuffs get raving reviews. So, don't hesitate to order from her... NOW!!! Go, get your phone and dial the number!!!

Food FroM RasaNe

This will probably be my last blog till next week again. I'll be busy with the kids, going over the school work and stuffs since yesterday the kids are starting to have their exams already. I'm also very, very temperamental these days coz I'm having my period. Yup....very cranky in fact so I will be in no mood to blog (just another excuse for my laziness).

Went to Bina Bangsa yesterday morning to pass the donation money to the admin. I was instructed by my FIL that I need to get 'tanda terima' from the school acknowledging that they did indeed receive donation from PT Monex. The money was for the China's quake. Awhile later, I was ushered to the teachers' room. I wasn't aware about what was going to happen next actually. I thought there's a certain teacher I need to talk to about it. When I entered the room, to my horror, all the Chinese teachers stood up and applauded me as I walked in. Can u freaking imagine my embarrassment?!!! Then when I was about to put the money into the box, once again I was stopped since one of the teachers needed to take a picture of me. And the time while I was waiting, every eyes were staring right at me. It was the most gruelling 5 mins of my life. Geez... that was really uncomfortable. I mean it's not like I'm donating hundreds of millions of Rupiah. I know they are just showing their appreciation but still, I'm just not comfy with the whole situation.

Since Casey and I still had 2 hours to kill, we went to TA to have breakfast in Ooh La La Cafe. I had a Chicken cream soup and a glass of hot milk. Whilst I was in the middle of my meal, one of the girl from Bina Bangsa admin office called me up to tell me that I had left my blue purse there. Well, this purse actually contained all my saving account books, the petrol money to last me till end of the month, my driver's money, the money earned from Sweet Sale and some money in US$ as well. So I was so very relieved that a kind person found it. I believe that when u put your heart to do good things to help other people, you don't have to worry about the money falling into the wrong hands. Somehow it will come back to u in one way or other. That's my belief.

In the evening, I went to Rasane to buy dinner. After ordering so much food, then found out that my FIL was about to eat dinner outside with Susan. Came home with this much food:

Photobucket

I bought 2 types of kangkung...one in terasi and one in tauco. 2 type of crabs too. The female one cooked in asep juhi and the male one in saos padang. The food isn't as delicious as I remembered it. I dunno why but most probably I won't be buying from there again.

This morning Cecil has remedial in school and when she came back, kids n I went to Coca Suki for lunch. Cing2 came just as we were in the middle of eating. She passed me a bag full of her clothes to be sold in Sweet Sale. Then kids n I went to Ranch Market. Sam asked me to stock food as he's pretty afraid there will be a riot following the raise of the fuel prices.

While teaching Casey with her Maths, Fenny came over with birthday invitation from Mony. Mony's kids will be celebrating their birthdays in Hotel Borobudur tomorrow but too bad my kids won't be able to attend it. School is definitely more important than parties. It will also apply even if the one who's having the party is my niece or nephew. These are the invitation cards btw... I always admired Mony for her creativity.

Photobucket Photobucket

It's actually a box of color pencils but Mony cleverly print out stickers to stick onto the box and make it look like an invitation. As for the younger daughter, Mony made a DVD with Kelly's photos showing Kelly from baby till 1 year old....just like the one she did for Kimmy on her 4th birthday.

Photobucket Photobucket

In addition to that, Fenny gave me a Hello Kitty dustbin to put in the car:

Photobucket Photobucket

And this:

Photobucket

Okay, I think I've spent a lot of time on my blog. Time to teach the girls again.

New Purgu Tee

Tuesday's been a really frustrating day for me. It's a long story but it's enough to make me shout and cry at the same time. And it's all because of my FIL. I wish I didn't have to put on a fake smile coz it's so hard to do so but on the other hand, blame it on my parents who teach me to always be polite to older people. Sometimes I think being fake is necessary... after all u are not living in a world where it revolves just around u. Most of all, I did it because I try to avoid a fight with Sam as much as possible.

After Cecil's tuition, we went to Senayan City with my FIL. Reached there at 2.30pm. We had lunch in Angus House.

Photobucket
The Appetizer

The extreme left is fish...pretty good actually. Next to it is made of pumpkin... pretty bland... after that is the eggplant...not bad too and the last one is prawn which is just so-so.

Photobucket

Cecil with her pumpkin soup. Casey and I skipped the part. Cecil said it's great but just looking at the color it's enough to spoil my appetite. Next came the salad which is pretty good although it's only lettuce and nothing else. This is the main course:

Photobucket

Forgot what's the name of it but it's not the normal one I ordered. It's much tender. Last but not least was the dessert:

Photobucket

Top is Pumpkin Creme Brulee, Mango Mousse and Banana Cake. They are all delicious.

Kids went to TGA to buy books later on and we headed home around 5pm.

Yesterday I stayed home most of the time so there's nothing to share actually. Just that I went to Sate Khas Senayan to buy dinner yesterday evening. This was what I had:

Photobucket

One of the new menus in there. It's called Nasi Pepes. When I opened the banana leaf, it looks like this:

Photobucket

It looks a bit better than it taste.

Dropped by my MIL's place to get the souvenirs she bought for us. The kids got an overcoat each which looks like this:

Photobucket

As for me, I got a big, big hat to cover all my face I think LOL Here's a model who willingly pose it for me:

Photobucket

I'm not even sure when will I ever wear it hahaha... Not to forget the shotglasses:

Photobucket

As for today, it's one of those best days, u know. Started my morning watching Championship finals and my favorite team, MU wins! Yeah!!! Followed by Irene telling me David Cook is the new American Idol. That tops it up. I've been rooting for Cook ever since Michael Johns was eliminated from the show. I don't care how good Archuleta was last night. I only care that Cook can sing all kinds of songs.... be it slow, rock or just about anything...whereas Archuleta is too boring. Only mellow songs fit him well even though I must say I do admire his voice. I don't hate him. I like him too... just that I like Cook a wee bit more hehehe....

Dropped by stuffs to Suli's office today since she is the one who will be sending to one of the buyers from Sweet Sale. We've collected around Rp 720K altogether. Not bad in my opinion ^.^

This morning when I was about to head out, I specifically told my maid to pack a long-sleeved tee and a pair of long pants for Casey since she'll have her skating lesson today. Was dumbfounded when turned out she packed the top part of pajamas, leggings (which is already too small for Casey) and to make matters worse, she also put my eyemask inside the bag along with the clothes. I was so mad but I didn't know whether to get angry or laugh at my maid. Aaargh.... I ended up buying a new tee and leggings for Casey in MTA.

Went to Zara and bought this purgu (a new name Irene thought of since we all hate to say out the color aloud be it in English or Indonesian) tee.

Photobucket

Not to forget bought Eclairs and Blueberry Muffins from Breadtalk. The eclairs are yummy! I really, really lurve it.

Photobucket

Came home to find that Irene's dad had already sent over the Pastel Tutup I ordered. Ate it right away:

Photobucket

It's the best!!!!

WeekenD watchinG Narnia

It's funny how blogging really depends on my mood. Sometimes I got tons of things to blog about but too lazy to do so....and when I find the time to do it, I totally forgot what I want to share. Just like today. *Sigh*

On Saturday the kids and I had lunch with my FIL in Chatterbox PS. Yes, the place I vowed not to step my feet on again but there's nothing I can do since 3 votes against 1 =.= I ordered Fried Hokkien Mie and as usual am disappointed again. Never mind....in a little more than a month I will be in Singapore eating my favorite food. I'll be leaving on the 26th. Will be back on 30th since Sam said in order for us to go for a trip end of the year, he can't take too long vacation. After that we went to Senayan Premiere to buy ticket for Sunday show. Left PS and went to Puri Mall. Casey and Cecil wanted to buy something. Came home and practically did nothing. Sam was out with others in plastic business to have a meeting until 9pm.

Sunday morning, Sam went with us to church. Yes, surprise, surprise hehehe... Lebih tepatnya Sam dipaksa ma mertu untuk pergi hahaha.... Church was really boring us to death yesterday. The priest was preaching something that is putting all of us to sleep. Seriously! I looked around thinking I was the only one who's bored. Sam was already not in his seat. He told me earlier that he needs some fresh air. Around the church, I see some people dozing off, some yawning, some like me, can only sigh and shake their heads. He preached for almost 1 freaking hour!!!!

Went to my dad's place straight away. Stayed there till around 3pm and we left for Plaza Senayan. We watched "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian"

Photobucket

I think it's a pretty good one although not as exciting as the 1st. Plus the villian isn't as wicked as the White Witch. The one playing Prince Caspian, Peter and Edmund are all handsome but I think the most handsome one of all is Aslan, the lion hahaha... I imagine if I'm living in the animal kingdom, that Aslan will be like my idol.

Went to Grand Hyatt Sumire to have dinner afterwards. Sam ordered the usual kobe beef with one set menu. I'm getting sick of kobe beef now =.=

For Sweet Sale we already earned about Rp 565.600,- up till this moment.

Sweet SaLe AvataRs

Isn't those the cutest avatars? Hehehe.... Wiwin made them for me. So thoughtful of her since I know nothing about designing.... only know how to "save image as" whenever I see something I like. But Wiwin complained that the words in the 1st one are barely readable when put up as an avatar so she, being an angel she is today (kalo bahasa Hokkiennya "mcai ho hamik hong choi") decided to help me make another one. This one is much simpler but still as sweet. I like them both actually but simple is always better (at least for me) so I chose the 2nd one to put up as the avatar. Thanks ya Win....

It's only been 2 days so I can't expect much. Moreover I don't have that many things at hand which I can sell. I need donators....anyone?? Maybe Wowo wants to sell off his D300 or collection of guitars?? Maybe Wiwin wants to sell her anime figures or are you interested to sell your Stitch, Yon?? Helloooo..... no one??? Hahaha... I was telling Sam the other day and also told my MIL about it by sms. Both think it's an excellent idea. I asked Sam, "Ada ga yg lu mau sumbang buat jual? Rolex mungkin?" He glared at me and said, "Is that why u never wear the one I gave u? U already sold it, didn't u?" Anyway, for your info, we've only earned Rp 257K so far. It's little but it's just starting. Hopefully the others will join in to sell their stuffs in time to come. This account basically can be accessed by Ria, Suli, Yon and me. It's like a joined account so if anyone of us has anything we want to sell, we can just go ahead and post it without asking the others. I'm confident with it. Please help me pray ya friends ^.^ After all, we're not doing it for ourselves.

Late in the afternoon, the girls n I went to Puri Mall. I had a really late lunch in Secret Recipe. Then the girls wanted to go to Strawberry and find hair clips. Met Kenneth & Kevin there. Fenny joined them not long after. Seeing Kenneth was interested in the phone strap, I went to Bear House to get him Mario phone strap. Fenny said that he kept bringing his Mario bolster (the one I gave him for his birthday) wherever he goes so I bought a Mario stuffed toy for him. It's when u buy something for someone and knowing that present makes the person happy that makes everything worthwhile.

A sonG abouT WomeN theSe daYs

Fenny told me last night that since I'm a Hokkien (which I'm very proud of) I should listen to this Hokkien song in Imeem. So today, I put time aside to listen to it. It's actually from the song "Lemon Tree" but the lyrics are nothing like it. Hahaha... It's so freaking funny and it's pretty true actually. Yon and Wiwin should listen to this in case you both haven't. As for Ria or Suli, you both can ask whichever 3 of us to translate it tomorrow hahaha....

Yesterday, Fenny came over to drop me some fried bananas which she bought from Pistales. They are pretty good. I prefer the one with cheese instead of chocolate.

Photobucket

And this morning, I went to Muara Karang to eat the most delicious Bihun Goreng Medan (quoted from Suli)

Photobucket

Am too tired to blog. Will rant more about today's dinner tomorrow.

Act of Kindness

I made a new account in Multiply today. I know, I'm a little late hehehe... But this account is not for blogging or interact with friends. It's for a charity purpose. Just the other day I was thinking about some clothes I have that I do not wear anymore or that I bought but turns out don't suit me at all. It will not seem right donating the clothes to orphanage or other places since most of my clothes are pretty sexy so I came up with the idea this morning about having a garage sale online and the money collected will all be donated for the poor or flood victims or whatsoever..... whichever seems appropriate at the time we have gathered enough money. I am welcoming anyone....just anyone who wish to be a part of this. If you have clothes, books, toys or anything that are still in mint condition, I will be honored if you participate with me in this. Won't it make you feel a little happier knowing how much happiness you brought into some people's lives? Sometimes it's the little acts that count ^.^ Please help me spread the word around....

PresenT HunTinG

Went out since morning today after dropping the kids to school. First I went to Angke and waited for Emmy outside her house till she came out at around 8am. Then we went to Versa Travel to sit down and chit chat to update on the latest news among the Lim family hehehe... I left Angke around 9.10am and wanted to go to Mangga Dua at first. Yuyu, Sam's friend, apparently hasn't gotten the thank-you gifts for his sons and I was supposed to order 2 more. Luckily I called up Indah before I went straight away to Mangga Dua. Indah told me that the wrapping is done in the office which is situated in JL. Latumenten so it will be useless even if I go to Mangdu. I still need to buy something to go with the wooden tables so I went to TA.

I was too early when I reached there so I went to Delifrance to have breakfast. This was what I had:

Photobucket

Photobucket

Around 10am, I went to Familia and looked around. Bought 2 Spiderman water bottles for Yuyu's kids. Then like I promised Ria & Yon, I went down to Guess to help them find a birthday present for Suli. They wanted one that compliments my present for Suli (since she doesn't have any idea how it looks like, might as well not spoil the surprise here) but turn out that they don't have the purse for the model I bought. Ended up buying one which is of the same color but different model.

When I first entered the shop, my eyes were already distracted by the new batches of tops they have. I also bought a pair of yellow pants. Hahaha... Yeah yellow coz my wardrobe is too full with blue. I have one red, one black, one green and I guess yellow is alright.

Photobucket

My camera setting was set to the lowest resolution when I took a pic of the purse to send the mms to Ria & Yon and I forgot to change it so the pics quality is really bad. The yellow is lighter in real than the one you see in the photo. So is the yellow for the tee and the pink for the blouse. I love them all. They are more that I wanted to buy but I'm glad I didn't. Next time I should just let Ria buy her own present =.=

Just before fetching Casey, I went to Latumenten to drop the water bottles so Indah's workers can help me wrap the wooden tables. It will only be ready on Thursday. Might be having lunch with Ria on Thursday and probably will drop Suli's present to her in the office.

Last night I watched "Rendition" starring Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal.

Photobucket

It's an okay movie. Not exciting enough though. I tried to continue watching "The Bank Job" coz Suli said it's good but I gave up halfway since I was too sleepy.

Yesterday, Sam n I talked about our June trip again. Yon told me the other day about how Suli rant on in her blog about Genting so, making sure I spent my holiday wisely, I went over Suli's blog once again very slowly. After reading it and hearing and seeing some pics of the place, I decided not to go. I'd rather spent the 4 days we have in Singapore. Yes, Sam can only go away for that long coz that's the no. of days Sam can take leave if we insist on taking a longer vacation either this October or during Christmas. Used to be curious what it's like to be in Genting but now, I doubt I'm interested anymore. Thanks for warning me in advance, Suli ^.^

Happy Mother's DaY

It's a wonderful day for me overall. Starting with my kids who made me Mother's Day cards. Not as sweet as last year but to me, their thoughts are much, much more valuable than any presents in the world. I couldn't stop laughing when I read what Cecil wrote in the card though. You will know why as soon as you see it.

Photobucket
From Casey

This is the closer version of what the card reads:

Photobucket

Photobucket
From Cecil

LMAO.... Have a long-lasting life huahahahha.... This reminds me of movies on Emperors of China where their subjects always say "皇上, 萬歲, 萬歲, 萬萬歲" (Huang Shang, wan sui, wan sui, wan wan sui) meaning they wished the emperor to live for 10,000 years. Yeah, that's how I felt Cecil meant when I read that sentence hehehe...

Casey also gave me this small box which she said for me to put my rings =.=

Photobucket Photobucket

She actually bought it some months ago for herself but I guess she has no use of it now so she's giving it to me hehehe.... It really tickles me what kids do to please you. I remembered last year October while we were in Gold Coast. I bought a magazine and there's this free purse that came along with it. It looks pretty and it's not like the normal cheap purse u get from Indonesian magazines. Anyway, Casey asked if I want it and I said 'no'. She asked me if she could have it and thinking she wanted it to put her money (she's a purse freak as well as shoes freak) so I gave it to her. Then came that fateful day when we were in Sydney and it was my MIL's birthday. Casey gave my MIL that purse as a present without feeling guilty. Hahaha... And she's so proud of her present that sometimes when my MIL left it lying around, Casey will bring the purse to her and said, "Popo, ini dompetnya. Kok uda dikasih ga disimpen sih? Ini kan Casey yg kasih. Kenapa...kenapa? Popo ga suka ya?" My MIL smiled and teased her, "Kok Casey kasihnya yg gratisan sih?" She replied with a slightly hurt expression, "Tapi kan Casey yang kasih. Kok popo uda dikasih masih mau milih2 sih? Masih bagus Casey kasih.... cc aja ga kasih kan?" We would all crack up.

Okay, back to present. Last evening, Ria came over and dropped 2 packets of keripik balado from Annie. They are so, so yummy.

Photobucket

Trims banget ya Nie ^.^

As for today, I finally went to my dad's place after being absent for 2 weeks. Saw Ivan there. He looks different now. It pains me to see him in this condition but like I said, he's an adult. He has to wake up and do what's right. I just hope that day will come soon. I sms Lie Yong 2 nights ago telling her that I would like her to treat me indifferently if that's not too much to ask. I don't want our relationship to be awkward just because she's no more with Ivan. She replied saying that she has wanted to sms me for quite sometime but she's just afraid I would not want her in my life anymore. She also said that she missed me and the kids. It really broke my heart =.= I really care and love her like a sis I never have. I wish God will give her the strength and hopefully find a man who is really worthy of her. It's not even my problem but I felt like I'm responsible for her pain =.=

Sam, kids & I went to EX Premiere to watch "Iron Man" at 2.50pm. It was a fantabulous movie. We all thoroughly enjoy it and Robert Downey Jr is such a hunk in there. Sam told me that if u have a BCA Platinum card, u can watch in Premiere for free! I don't know they limit the tickets to how many but that's what Sam heard when he went to buy the tickets on Friday night. Today when we were there, the place was fully packed. It was crazy. It's like whichever way u walk, u are bound to bump into someone.

And this evening, I got a sweet surprise when Suli came over. Yesterday when I asked her why is she coming, she just told me she's dropping by the souvenir she bought from Malaysia and this tee which she wanted to give me for quite sometime but never found the time to do so. Was really surprised though when she came into the room, she was carrying a cake. I asked her what's the occasion and she told me the cake is for Mother's Day from her, Cing2, Ria & Yon. I was really, really touched to the core. Right after Suli went back, I opened up the box, sliced the cake and eat it. Heavenly! And the cake is soooo pretty. Ria requested that I take a pic of me eating the cake so here are the pics:

Photobucket

Yipee....another 2 to add to my collection of shot glasses. The words in the tee is also so, so cute which of course I just have to show it off :P Thanks ya temen2..... Thanks for the sweet thought ^.^

Time for bed now.....

EyeinG at Roberto CavaLLi's SunglasseS

It was a pretty torturing day for us today. We left home at 11am for the dentist. The traffic in Tomang was really bad and we reached Dr Noto's place at almost 1pm. Crazy. Not only that but we had to wait another 1 hour for our turn. Dr Noto said Cecil has to wait another 1-2 years before she puts on braces since it will take longer time for her if she puts it on now. As for Casey's, the holes in her back teeth were pretty bad due to too much sweets. It's so frustrating coz even though I don't allow her to eat sweets, her friends in school sometimes give them to her. Aaarghhh....

Kids wanted to have lunch in Pepper Lunch so we all went to Pepper Lunch with my FIL in Plaza Indonesia. Yes, this week I will be there for 3 consecutive days. Tomorrow I will be there again to watch "Iron Man" (YES...FINALLY!!!) Anyway, in Pepper Lunch I tried the new menu Chicken Teriyaki Set. It was pretty good actually but I was so damn full when we got out of that restaurant. Kids went to Cold Rock to buy ice cream and later, after Cecil checked her eyesight in Optik Seis, we went to Food Hall again where the kids bought some bread. Can u believe it??? I wonder if their tummies are made of rubber. It's like they can never stop eating!

I was looking at the brochure from Plaza Indonesia earlier and found the Roberto Cavalli's sunglasses I've been looking for. Well, not exactly like the one I posted before that was worn by Scarlett Johansson. The initial RC on the sides are still studded with Swarovski crystals though. Just that it's of different model.

Photobucket

They come in 4 different colors and the pearl white is the one I like the most. Torn between Tenaro and Adrasto actually. This is how Adrasto model looks like:

Photobucket

They also come in 4 different patterns. 3 of them are dominated by brown though. Adrasto isn't studded with Swarovski crystals though. So many things on my wish list now =.=

Thanks to Suli for sharing a new site to download games hehehe... Now I have something to keep me happy ^.^

More ShoppinG

One more day before my maid goes back. I already have 3 more but they are all new. Luckily they are hardworking so it makes the teaching loads easier. It really gets on my nerves when I get stubborn ones or the plain dumb ones or even the ones who always spend their time whoring with the construction guys or the 'hansip'. Whoring in this means, flirting at all times. I'm glad that I never encounter anyone that has irritated me till I have to scream at her. Well, only once when I was staying in Sunter. That was the one and only time. It's a long story. Anyway, I'm feeling a wee bit better today. I'll worry about other stuffs when the time comes hehehe....

This morning, Sam asked my driver to send him to the office so I tagged along as I wanted to go to Plaza Indonesia. I wanted to look for a smaller purse where I can use with the CD sling bag Sam bought me a couple of months back. Went into Prada and a small purse costs around Rp 4 mill. Too pricey so I went out again. Went to Debenhams to look for birthday presents for Mony's kids. Didn't find any that I think they will like. It's frustrating isn't it when u want to buy for someone who already has everything??? Aargh... Wanted to look for kids' clothes in Zara. Thought I might find something pretty there. Guess what? I'm the one ended up with clothes hahaha... These were what I bought:

I really, really like the pink and black & white checkered bustiers. As for the cardigans, I bought 2 of different colors since it's quite cheap. Only Rp 140K. From there I went to the Mickey store. Everything is on 30% discount. Here goes my shopping:

I simply love the skirt. It has a Mickey's face staring right at you. Then before fetching Casey, I went to the Food Hall to have lunch by myself. I ate in Sushi Nobu (or Nubo?? Can't remember...) and ordered the Chicken Soyu Kim Chee Ramen. It's yummy. I bought Chicken Teriyaki for Casey too and it's also very delicious.

Tomorrow I will be bringing the kids to Dr Noto. It's time for Cecil to put on braces and I'm going there to consult with the dentist about it. My FIL will be going with us while Sam has to go to the warehouse. We'll be having dinner tomorrow with him though instead of Sunday (I wanted to eat on Sunday actually since it's Mother's Day but Sam has plans with his friends to watch soccer in MU Cafe).

Talking about Mother's Day, the other day when I went to Plaza Senayan, I passed by Prada and saw this handbag that I like. Told Sam about it and he asked me to ask the price. When I told him about it, he said, "Go ahead and buy it for your Mother's Day present." But then I changed my mind. I mean, face it. I have to throw out some bags to make room for the Prada if I buy it and I'm still not willing to part with any of my bags. So I told Sam to keep the money and give it to me during our June trip to Genting. Yes, I'm going Genting and SG in mid June. Sam wanted to take a cruise from HK at first but I reminded him of his promise to us that we are going to Japan end of the year. That's why he changed to Genting instead hehehe.... I don't mind... I will settle for ALMOST anywhere as long as I get out of Jakarta.

BTW, do u guys know about Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 that is soon-to-be-released??? It's uber cool! Now I'm not sure which phone to get. N96 or Xperia X1.

I'm not over with my rants yet. 2 of my old maids are going back too. Well, one has gone back yesterday and the other one will be leaving on Saturday, leaving me with 3 new maids. I'm not sure if I'm able to go out this weekend or not. I feel uncomfortable leaving the house with the new maids. If u see lesser updates this past few weeks, from next week on it will be worse. Aaargh.... and I hate the fact that Casey can't, or won't in her case, try to get along with the maids. She is not as friendly as Cecil and that makes it harder for me to have my own time. I have to do everything myself these days. It's so, so frustrating.

Yesterday I was at my wits' end. My head was pounding from the lack of sleep due to watching "Apocalypto". I was already sleepy when Sam decided to watch it but that movie really kept me up till the end. It was really gross but I think it's a brilliant movie. So, staying home yesterday morning was out of the question for me. At 10.30am, I left for PS. These were the stuffs I got from Sogo:

Done shopping, I went to Din Tai Fung to have lunch. It was time to fetch Casey by the time I finished eating. Late noon, I went to Carrefour to buy some groceries and dinner. Only reached at around 7pm =.=

CeciL's TurN

The nightmare isn't over yet. Cecil's the one down with fever today. Just when I thought everything is going to be better after yesterday. Casey has recovered. But last night, Cecil was shivering just when I was about to sleep. That was about 11pm. I gave her pamol and had to wait since she normally perspired after eating the medicine. It was at 12am when I finally got to sleep. At almost 3am, I suddenly woke up. Looked at Cecil who was sleeping next to me and she was shivering again. Took her temperature. It was 38.7 celsius this time so I gave her another pamol to take since it's been almost 4 hours since she last took it. I had to stay up till around 4 after that guarding the cool compress over her head. Aaargh.... It's like everyone's taking turn to fall sick. Hopefully, I am not the next one. I'm so going on a demo if I don't get something this Mother's Day. Hahaha... Nah just kidding.

So today, I sent Casey to school around 6.30am. Came home to find Cecil's temperature rose once more so I had to put the cold compress on her forehead. We left for Omni International Hospital at around 9.45am. It's situated in Serpong and it's our first time there. Normally, we would go to Dr Jani in Graha but his new schedule in Graha is only after 5pm and we didn't want to wait that long to let the doctor check on her. Who knows what time we'll end up going home today if we insisted on going to Graha.

The hospital is really clean and spacious but well, all new hospitals are like that, aren't they? Nurses were all really friendly too and downright polite. Give them a year or two and they will all have attitudes hehehe... This is the waiting area :

We didn't have to wait too long either. Just a boy before us. Considering of going there for kids' appointments from now onwards.

Didn't go anywhere again today. Fenny came over just now to give us some bread, a Disney Princess glass and a Hello Kitty calculator. Since kids aren't using it, I'm claiming it as mine hehehe... It's so cute.

BTW, major news. My daughter is having her 1st period. On Saturday to be exact. I almost faint when she first told me that. I mean, wow... she's not even 11 yet! I had mine when I was 12. I was pretty scared at that time but luckily Cecil is taking it pretty well. I guess when she hears too many stories from her friends, it helps her to get prepared. Let's hope Cecil will be back to school by Thursday. Can't afford to be sick this month. They will be having their exams in 2 weeks' time. Which means what? Lesser time for me to come online.

Another thing that got me upset was the electric bill =.= I normally have to pay Rp 2 mill (more or less around that) for the monthly bill but yesterday when I went to BCA atm, I was shocked to know I was charged Rp 3,6 mill. That's so absurd! Damn PLN! Sometimes they like to undercharge us but they will add the excess amount to one of the month's bill like what happens this month. Petrol sux too. It's almost Rp 9K/liter. Aaaarggghhhhh..... Everything is so freaking expensive these days =.= As if I'm not troubled enough, my maid called up yesterday morning to tell me that she's not coming back. Have to look for new maids now.

One happy thing about this week is that I found out Citibank has paid back the administration fee it charged me. Sam put the money my FIL gave me for my time deposit in Citibank and last month, from 19th to 27th March, I was supposed to have about Rp 800K for my interest. When I went to Citibank ATM to check, was confused that it only has Rp 550K. Was wondering where the other Rp 250K went to so I called up Citibank. I was told by the customer service that as long as my savings is under Rp 500 mill, I will be charged Rp 250K every month for the administration fee. I went berserk. Complained to Sam about it. This is why it's important to have a hubby who is good in arguing his way out of everything hehehe.... So this morning when I got my Citibank's statement printout, I was happy to see that the Rp 250K is back in ^.^
